# SYN-OPS-01 / Factory register / Rev A

**SYNTHETIC DEMONSTRATION. Every facility, supplier, part, order, assignment and measurement is fictional. No employer/customer engagement is implied.**

Factory: Cooling Systems Factory. Operator: SYN-021 · Fictional equipment fabricator. Scenario SYN-SCENARIO-001; data version factory-1.0. Product: SYN-LC-1000, Modular liquid-cooling skid. Drawing SYN-PID-LC1000 Rev B.

## Scope and quantities

The assumed weekly demand is 8 skids. Three one-unit work orders illustrate genealogy; they are a subset rather than a complete schedule. Each links one valve and one harness. Received harness quantities describe the existing NCR lot population, not available stock. Valve sample counts are observations, not total produced inventory. An allocated trace link does not itself authorize use of a held component.

## Physical model

Illustrative factory footprint 32 × 20 m. Area coordinates use meters from the upper-left drawing origin. The 2 m circulation corridor and functional connections are teaching assumptions. This register retains baseline geometry. Phase 2 routing and layout optimization are documented in layout-method.md and layout-manifest.json. Phase 3 local handling assessment is documented in ergonomics-method.md and ergonomics-manifest.json. Phase 4 loss and experiment assumptions are documented in improvement-method.md and improvement-manifest.json. No capacity simulator or safety-code assessment is implemented.

## Lot register

- **SYN-301 / SYN-VS25** — M1 / SYN-RUN-01 / SYN-SH-M01. Measurements 1–30. Baseline observations. Sample count is not a produced-lot quantity.
- **SYN-302 / SYN-VS25** — M1 / SYN-RUN-01 / SYN-SH-M01. Measurements 31–50. Early drift. Review process evidence before component disposition.
- **SYN-303 / SYN-VS25** — M1 / SYN-RUN-01 / SYN-SH-M01. Measurements 51–70. Continued drift. Existing SPC containment recommendation applies.
- **SYN-304 / SYN-VS25** — M1 / SYN-RUN-01 / SYN-SH-M01. Measurements 71–90. Limited corrected run; not a completed long-term capability qualification.
- **SYN-A1 / HX-12** — SYN-014. Received population 200; 0/40 observed screening failures. Reference lot outside the suspect setup window. Sampled conformity is limited evidence.
- **SYN-B1 / HX-12** — SYN-014. Received population 400; 9/40 observed screening failures. Suspect supplier setup window; material disposition requires NCR review.
- **SYN-B2 / HX-12** — SYN-014. Received population 350; 2/40 observed screening failures. Suspect supplier setup window; material disposition requires NCR review.

## Work-order trace

| Work order | Unit | Quantity | Area | Valve lot | Harness lot |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| SYN-WO-001 | SYN-LC-1000-001 | 1 | A1 | SYN-301 | SYN-A1 |
| SYN-WO-002 | SYN-LC-1000-002 | 1 | K1 | SYN-302 | SYN-B1 |
| SYN-WO-003 | SYN-LC-1000-003 | 1 | T1 | SYN-304 | SYN-B2 |

Only SYN-WO-003 / SYN-LC-1000-003 has a modeled FAT record. The other two orders have no assigned FAT result. These are illustrative assignments, not a reconstructed real material ledger.

## Routing

- R1 to Q1: Purchased harnesses / incoming records
- Q1 to K1: Dispositioned purchased material
- M1 to K1: Machined valve components after review
- K1 to A1: Work-order kit
- A1 to T1: Configured assembly
- T1 to D1: Acceptance evidence

## Independent quality episodes

### SYN-CASE-SPC

Valve-spool inspection history; 90 individual measurements. Record SYN-RUN-01; area M1. Related illustrative orders: SYN-WO-001, SYN-WO-002, SYN-WO-003. Evidence: SPC-E01, SPC-E02, SPC-E03. Route: /engineering-lab.

### SYN-NCR-026

750 suspect supplier units; 11 failures observed in 80 suspect-lot screens. Record SYN-NCR-026; area Q1. Related illustrative orders: SYN-WO-002, SYN-WO-003. Evidence: NCR-E01, NCR-E02, NCR-E03, NCR-E04, NCR-E05, NCR-E06. Route: /engineering-lab/ncr.

### SYN-FAT-003

Acceptance record for unit SYN-LC-1000-003 only. Record SYN-FAT-003 Rev A; area T1. Related illustrative orders: SYN-WO-003. Evidence: FAT-E01, FAT-E02, FAT-E03, FAT-E04, FAT-E05, FAT-E06, FAT-E07. Route: /engineering-lab/fat.

Tool drift, supplier under-crimp and the wrong pump impeller retain separate causes and chronologies. Equipment acceptance does not clear a supplier-material hold. The machining run is SYN-RUN-01 within illustrative shift SYN-SH-M01, covering its existing 06:00–20:50 observations. Factory planning periods are separate from the case-event histories.

## Standard-work assumptions

- M1: 6 min. Per valve: machining plus inspection; teaching assumption.
- K1: 45 min. Per skid kit; teaching assumption.
- A1: 240 min. Per assembled skid; teaching assumption.
- T1: 120 min. Per skid, attended test-work content; not test elapsed duration.

Total per skid: 411 minutes / 6.85 hours. This assumes one valve per skid. Total work content at baseline demand: 54.8 hours per hypothetical week. This is arithmetic work content, not required headcount, elapsed lead time or feasible throughput. Rework, downtime, waiting and parallel work are not modeled.

## Metric dictionary

- **requested-skids / Requested output / skids / hypothetical week**: Visitor planning input. Baseline is 8; not an observed production result.
- **component-demand / Gross component requirement / each or sets / hypothetical week**: Requested skids × component quantity per skid; excludes inventory netting and purchasing lead time.
- **standard-work / Standard work content / hours / hypothetical week**: Requested skids × assumed work minutes per unit / 60. Excludes rework, downtime and waiting; not a capacity or staffing forecast.
- **tracked-orders / Illustrative order trace / orders**: Three one-unit records illustrating component genealogy; not a complete schedule for the weekly demand.
- **spc-samples / SPC measured population / observations**: 90 sampled measurements from the existing SPC case. Not total production or an inferred lot defect count.
- **suspect-material / Suspect supplier population / units**: 400 in SYN-B1 + 350 in SYN-B2. Distinct from 11 observed sample failures.

## Seeded planning history

Seed 26831; eight deterministic hypothetical periods, each between six and ten requested skids. The generator uses a 32-bit LCG and has no calendar or observed-demand claim.

- SYN-P01: 9 requested skids.
- SYN-P02: 10 requested skids.
- SYN-P03: 8 requested skids.
- SYN-P04: 8 requested skids.
- SYN-P05: 7 requested skids.
- SYN-P06: 7 requested skids.
- SYN-P07: 7 requested skids.
- SYN-P08: 7 requested skids.

## Session and proposal rules

The immutable baseline is separate from a visitor's demand proposal (1–24 skids per hypothetical week). Proposal comparisons multiply the same product quantities and work-content assumptions. They do not net inventory or change quality case evidence. The active scenario, area, order and demonstration reviews stay in this browser tab using a versioned session record. Reset factory restores baseline planning and original case state. Individual demo resets reset only that demonstration. All approvals are simulations, not authenticated release authority.
