Synthetic demonstration

An intermittent failure. A traceable resolution.

Work the incident from detection to closure. Every transition requires evidence and a decision.

All parts, suppliers, measurements and events below are fictional. Built to demonstrate engineering analysis and software design; no employer or customer engagement is implied.

SYN-OPS-01 / Factory overview

factory-1.0 · Synthetic operation

Plan: 8 skids / 54.8 h assumed work. Baseline: 8 skids / 54.8 h.

This tab retains your scenario and demo reviews. Reset factory restores the original state.

Factory context / Q1 / SYN-NCR-026

750 suspect supplier units; 11 failures observed in 80 suspect-lot screens.

Intermittent sensor disconnects during vibration screening

Observed on supplier lots SYN-B1 and SYN-B2. The reference lot did not fail in its 40-piece sample.

Complete the required reviews and decisions to clear this gate.

Evidence / NCR-E01

Vibration-screen incident log

SYN-B1: 9/40 failures. SYN-B2: 2/40. Reference SYN-A1: 0/40. Disconnection occurs under vibration and disappears at rest.

Detection; sampled incidence is not an estimate of every unit in a lot.

Lessons & enterprise-system translation

A part replacement removes the immediate defect. An effective 8D also removes the occurrence and escape mechanisms. A digital workflow can enforce owners, lot traceability, evidence links, verification and a closure gate—the same discipline used in manufacturing readiness and ERP issue governance.

In a real system, approvals require authenticated roles and an audit trail. This demonstration uses temporary local state, fictional records and simulated sign-offs.

One connected perspective

Physical requirements become data. Data becomes evidence. Evidence informs an operational decision. These demonstrations connect my manufacturing and quality foundation with the systems thinking used in enterprise transformation and product engineering.
