Requirements & test results
| Test / requirement | Acceptance criterion | Result | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| ≥1,440 L/min | 1456 L/min | PASS Review pending | |
| ≥250 kPa at design flow | 195 kPa | FAIL Review pending | |
| Pressure ≥600 kPa; no visible leakage | 600 kPa | PASS Review pending | |
| Alarm / interlock ≤2.0 s | 1.4 s | PASS Review pending | |
| Interruption ≤5.0 s | 4.2 s | PASS Review pending | |
| Resistance ≤0.10 Ω | 0.06 Ω | PASS Review pending | |
| ≥0.98 MW (nominal 1 MW, −2% tolerance) | 0.996 MW | PASS Review pending |
Every numerical limit is a synthetic teaching assumption, not an industry-wide acceptance criterion. A real project requires contract-specific criteria, approved procedures and qualified test/approval authority.
FAT-02 / FAT-E02
Pump differential pressure
Inspection / test procedure
Measure supply-to-return differential pressure at design flow; record 3 repeat runs and configured pump speed.
Pump performance & configuration
Three repeat runs: 195, 197 and 194 kPa at design flow. Pump impeller trim differs from the approved build configuration. The result is below the 250 kPa minimum.
This action changes the simulated configuration and replaces the pressure/flow results and repeats the pressure-boundary test after reassembly. Review FAT-E01, FAT-E02 and FAT-E03 after retest before accepting.

P-01 / Release-blocking
Wrong pump impeller trim
Owner: Supplier engineering. Install approved trim, update assembly configuration record and pass witnessed retest FAT-02.
P-02 / Minor / controlled closeout
Flow-meter identification label missing
Owner: Supplier production. Fit identification label and submit photo record. May carry conditional release with named owner and date.
P-03 / Release-blocking
As-built document package incomplete
Owner: Supplier document control. Provide Rev B as-built P&ID, BOM, calibration index and test dossier.

Acceptance & simulated sign-off
- 1 test requirement not met
- 7 test record(s) not reviewed
- 2 release-blocking punch item(s) open
- Minor closeout requires a named owner and due date
Changing results, evidence, punch-list disposition or deviation status invalidates sign-off. This is an evidence workflow demonstration, not a professional certification or real equipment authorization.
The sign-off control unlocks only when the release gate is clear.
Engineering judgment & software translation
A completed test sheet is not an acceptance decision. The decision must combine requirement conformance, reviewed evidence, unresolved defects, deviations and accountable closeout. This scenario demonstrates how those constraints can become a software gate that remains explainable.
The thermal and hydraulic figures are teaching assumptions. Numerical tests are evaluated as written; qualitative leakage and document checks live in their synthetic evidence records. A real implementation would verify uncertainty, safety, authority and installation conditions.
One connected perspective
Physical requirements become data. Data becomes evidence. Evidence informs an operational decision. These demonstrations connect my manufacturing and quality foundation with the systems thinking used in enterprise transformation and product engineering.
